Default Thinking of getting a LS600hl

Hi,

I have an ES300h 2014, and I start to find the ride a bit stiff, road are so bad here I would like something a bit smoother.

So I went to try a LS600H 2010, it's not in perfect condition (some scratch here and there, bumper scratch), but it's fully loaded (with the exec package) and the interior is pretty like new. Basically I love it... In comfort mode, it's glide so well on the road. The V8 have plenty of power, but I'm not looking for a fast car, I just like quiet and smooth ride (even if I'm only 29yrs old).

I have a couple of concern, the car have low milage (40,000 miles), but I don't know what to expect for regular maintenance fee, gaz (I guess it use premium and use more then the 300h, what are the real world figure for someone who drive slowly), and eventual repairs (likes those air suspension, I think they just replaced the suspension in the front or the back, so I guess the other half will be due in not too long).

Price wise I can afford it, if something ever happen I will be able to afford repair in the thousand dollars range, but I just don't want that car to become a burden and end up regretting selling my ES 2014, I have other project too in life.

I would like to be able to keep the car for at least 5 yrs, doing around 15,000 miles per year.

Thanks in advance for your advice

A 2010 with 40k miles you should be able to find an extended warranty for a decent cost so do shop around, if maintenance and upkeep costs are a big concern as it seems they are. Air suspension, control arms are going to be things to look out for in terms of replacement.
Maintenance (ie oil change etc) on a Ls600h isn't crazily expensive as some will attest, just get used to the premium gas requirement.
Beautiful cars and plenty of Ls600h owners here will chime in...

i can tell you right now that you will never regret selling that ES! you will no longer have hard plastic surfaces like in the ES, and it should still either have warranty, or a CPO... so hopefully you would have nothing to worry about.

I say go for it!

Having owned my Lexus LS600hL for the past 8 months, I can honestly say there is nothing to compare to the overall refinement, quality, smoothness, etc. I see myself as a "Lexus-LS-For-Life" guy. I've driven the 2014 ES350 -- nice car, but not even in the same ballpark as the LS600hL... When I purchased my LS last summer (for $42K), my friends thought I was crazy for paying that kind of money for a 6 year old car. They all thought I should spend the same money to buy a brand new ES. I considered it, drove the ES, but in the end was sold on the LS600, had have had zero regrets.

And I did get mine as a CPO (with 58K miles), and I added the 3-year, 125K miles extended CPO warranty (for around $2400), so I figure I'm set with complete warranty coverage for a total of 6 years (better than the warranty on the new ES).

Good luck!
