Default Finally Pulled the Trigger on 2010 LS460L

I am officially the owner of a very nice 2010 LS460L AWD! Took a lot of searching, and even after finding the right car, it took a lot of thinking and discussing to make sure this was the right call, but I took delivery last night of this Smoky Granite Mica LS with black interior. The car includes the upgraded leather package, rear side sunshades, and air ride suspension. No DRCC/Pre-Collision, LKA, etc., but everything I really need is included. I would have probably tried to avoid the air ride suspension, but Steve (SWLS17) has made a compelling argument for the Air Suspension system, despite the eventual cost to replace the shocks. When I switch the car to Comfort mode, it does feel like I'm riding on a cloud, which is just the feel I'm looking for in an LS.

The dealer (Lexus of Omaha) did a great job of cleaning up the car and resolving several of my concerns, and I'm very happy with the overall deal. I ended up paying $21,600 for the car (excluding taxes). The car has 91K miles, but has been meticulously maintained at Lexus of Omaha all its life, and is in great overall condition for the year/miles.

Here are a few photos I snapped yesterday in the Lexus "Delivery Room..." I'll post a few more interior photos soon. I've ordered the Prestigious Society Nav/DVD override device, and will be having new Pirelli P7 All Season Plus tires installed this weekend (the current tires are Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires, and lack the smooth highway ride I'm after). I guess I have Steve to thank for the tire choice also, since he's a big proponent of the Pirellis and has made a good case for their use on the LS. My local Discount tire will install a set of the Pirellis for $790 including all taxes, and there's a $70 rebate. Not too bad!

Thanks to everyone who provided great thoughts/advice on my car buying journey!

Glad your back in the LS saddle. Congrats on the purchase. Let's get some interior pics. I have the DRCC but I never use it because I drive so spirited. Maybe I test it on a long road trip. I see in Techstream an option for LKAbut I was under the assumption that the 2007 did not have this option.

You'll really feel like you're driving on a cloud when you get the new tires on. Congrats- love that color combo.

I just did a bit of research on the current tires. TireRack actually gives them pretty good reviews, especially for their wet/dry traction (not quite as good for their comfort or quietness). Here's the review for those interested: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...e+COMP-2+A%2FS

I think if I were a more "spirited" driver, these tires would probably be perfect!

Congrats!

You will be amazed by the difference on the Pirellis. Especially after you get about 1000 miles on them, I've found they break in and get quieter and smoother at that point.

Air them to about 31 PSI cold

Good looking LS!
I'm sure you're pumped with the new car feel and the price seems correct for that year/mileage.

I don't like it, it's too clean and shiny.

Congrats and I wish you good luck with it!

My local Discount tire will install a set of the Pirellis for $790 including all taxes, and there's a $70 rebate. Not too bad!

PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS 245 /45 R19 98V SL BSW

Are these the tires you're getting for $790???
My Local Discount tire wants $980 for these. I'm in North Carolina.
