Default Drove her home today!

After waiting around 5 weeks, we finally have our Starfire Pearl/Parchment w/Sport Appearance Package 450h at home in the garage. Got the call this morning and it was ready to go, complete with the clear bra on it. Even though I had already done the paper work, I had to do it all over again, because this car had a different VIN. But everything went well and the car was even on their showroom floor when we got there.

It drove great on the 70 mile trip home from Reno to Fallon, Nv. A lot like my wifes MDX we traded in, except a bit heavier steering on long sweeping turns. But it stays planted. I did find out that it seems to take off better in Sport mode over Eco. Probably leave it in Sport for town jaunts. The bamboo steering wheel feels awesome. I took a couple of not-so-great cell phone pics. So far we LOVE it.

Looks great, I know you'll enjoy it. I think I might even like the bamboo wheel .

The weird thing about the bamboo wheel, is it is real wood and feels untreated. Not slick like most other wood wheels. So, I would think dirt and perspiration from your hands would stain it. I'm sure it must have some kind of treatment to protect it. It feels incredible with plenty of grip.

I love the bamboo, especially in the black interior because the contrasting in colors makes it interesting to look at. You wouldn't think it works but it does. Congrats on finally getting the RX.

Thanks! I think my wife is going to stay up half the night reading the manual.
Which, by the way, is the best car manual I have ever seen.

Are you sure your wife didn't fall asleep reading the manual? It's a known cure for insomnia, LOL! Congrats on finally getting the RXh. We expect everything except disappointment from this point on

Looks good!! Very similar to the one I picked up too. I thought you what you did about the bamboo too, but after a month I love it. Feels really nice to grip because it's not lacquered.

Now to play the "what's the best mileage I can get" game

Congratulations! You're gonna LOVE your new car!

The "what's the best mileage I can get" game, is a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It's almost addictive, and it's actually helped me learn to drive more smoothly. You actually see the reward of smoother driving on the mileage screen.
