Default High Mileage LS600hL

Would you buy a high mileage LS600hL? I figure if you are willing to buy a high mileage car, they don't get much more solid. These rigs should be good for 200,000 miles easy. If the car looks to be in excellent condition and carfax checks out, what's the issue?

I see 2008 with 99,000 miles for $29,000. Thoughts?

I don't think there has ever been a report from anyone about the batteries in an LS600. Correct me if I'm wrong here guys.

I'm sure they aren't bulletproof, but again I have never heard of a single failure on an LS600h. Other cars have failed, but haven't seen it on a 600h.

I think the only reason why we have not heard of any problems is because the majority of 600 owners treat them like garage queens, weekend cars, or not a daily driver. How many people have more than 120k on their 600? I think I've only heard of 1.

I know one of the members on this forum has a 600HL with over 150K and it was driving like new evidently.

I saw a 600HL with 130K on the clock about 6 months ago, and it was selling for 29K as well.

I'm guilty of this. I put maybe 25 miles on mine per week... I either drive my patrol car to/from work or else drive my sequoia so the dog can come with me. Not putting a German Shepherd in the 600!

Toyota designed these as "livery" limosines so high miles would not unexpected at all. I think if we asked an Asian or European audience we would probably see some very high miles by now.
