Hello, I am new to the fourm and i have a few questions on a RX400h that is for sale in my area. The car has 145,000 miles. Is there anything that I need to look out for with the car? Thank you.

 

That's really high mileage, I hope it's a low asking price! Make sure the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, and transaxle fluid have been replaced. Check the vehicle history to make sure the title is clean. Check if the recent recalls related to the inverter have been performed by a Lexus dealer.

 

Expensive repairs to check for: Coolant leaks from transmission, inverter or radiators, brake issues associated with the electric brake actuator. AC compressor issues. Is it all wheel drive?

 

Thanks for the replies guys. I decided not to go with that 400h or any 400h at all... I wanted to but I don't really need the extra mileage, I think I'm going to stay with a 350.
