4-5 days ago I had a low pressure light came on. I wanted to replace or fix the tire and discovered that I lost the wheel lock key, I am still looking for the key without any luck, I just blow more air in the tire every day. Any suggestions??.
First, I would go to your local Lexus dealership if possible. They do not use yours during tire rotations, at least they have never used mine. They should have a full set of keys to deal with the matter and can possibly help with getting a replacement. Here in the States when we purchased our Lexus vehicles we were provided a card in our Owner's Manual with how to order a replacement/additional key. They are made by McGard for use here. Not sure if your source there in Jordan would be the same as ours. If stuck, you might try calling Lexus Customer Service for your region.
Due to your location you may be out of luck with your best bet to just take it to a shop for them to break the wheel studs and replace them with the option of installing a new lock with key if you desire. Drastic, but that is your last hope if none of the above pans out.
As with most topics, this has been discussed before:
In the old days at the tire store I worked at we used a wheel nut socket that would almost fit over the lock and hammer it on with a hammer, Using the impact we could then remove the lock. Tap the lock out of the socket and give it to the owner of the car. Seems many customers lost the key and rather than try to buy a new lock set just wanted the locks removed.
Yes I contacted Lexus JORDAN, they don't have replacements, they said they would unscrew the locks on their own way (I think the same way which our friend Weighit just described or use a master key) and then put normal nuts instead. I think they left me without any other choices. Thanks anyways EVERYBODY.
