When I "lock" the passenger windows (to prevent kids from playing with the windows), I am unable to control the windows from the driver master switch.

On my old RX/300, even though the passenger window lock was engaged, I could still control the passenger windows from the master switch.

Is there a way to enable this feature on the 400h? Or is it designed this way for a reason?

That's the way it is. Also the lights on the switches go out when they're locked out.
