Default Back from service squeek still there

Picked up a 2010 450h with 46k miles about 3 weeks ago. A week in I started to hear a squeek in the front that I thought it was coming from the windshield. Only thing that would address the noise was raising the radio's volume. Took it into service where had it for 5 day as they had to reproduce the noise before addressing issue. The sevice invoice stated the cause as the steering column. If I'm reading the invoice correctly looks like they changed the column assy with retail price of the parts alone over $2,750, which was all covered by warranty. While I appreciate a tight new streering column, 10 miles into my ride home the squeeking reappeared.

Any advise, anyone with similar experience ? Thanks in advance.

I heard some squeaking in my front dash from time to time. The dealer could not reproduce the squeak when I brought it in for inspection. The RX I owned didn't have as "tight" a build quality as I would have liked. My LX 570 is really tight and solid. Not a squeak or rattle can be heard whatsoever.

Is there any other information out there that speaks to what the symptoms could be? I have a squeek/ rattle that is so annoying in the middle to left side of the dash. I first thought it was the windshield but had the seal replaced and the noise is still present.

Default Latest info

Spoke to service and had set up to drop of the 450h to check for squeak. Original plan was to have someone ride with me so I could identify the noise. Got a call this morning from service stating that there was another owner that had the same reoccurring complaint. The new plan was that they had contacted some type of master technician at Lexus and where scheduling him to come to the local dealership and when confirmed will contact the other owner and myself to bring in out vehicles.

I will keep you posted.

An aside: There was a Lexus service update for the squeak / squeal from the steering column while turning the wheel. I had it done last year for our '10 RX450h.

But what is being described seems to be one of those frustrating sounds. Hope you have resolution soon.

Can't say this was while turning the wheel but maybe that service update you mentioned lead service to change the steering column. Car is actually with dealer since Thursday. They stated there was a new service update that was issued and they are going to follow-up with that. If that does not resolve the issue that the corporate mechanic is still scheduled to come in next week to inspect my RX and the other vehicle mentioned in prior post.
