So i'm looking for a 450h, there are a lot of options, 2010/2011/2012. For the CPO earlier ones. Are there any onboard diagnostic that I can pull up on the NAV/computer to give some battery history stats ? Not worry about that for the new ones. Some of the CPO have been sitting on the lot since march, so just wonder if the battery is okay or not. Anyway, let me know if you guys know any hidden diagnostic menus on the nav.. Thanks.
The Hybrid batteries are incredibly stable. They are designed to never be fully charged or fully discharged. Lots of stories of the Prius with the same type of battery well over 300,000 miles and no problems. The battery you do want to check is the smaller 12v under the back deck that runs all the computers and is crucial in starting the car up. They are rather small as compared to the non-hybrids and some have seen them go sooner than normal.
But that's still an abnormal situation, so plan on the car you pick giving you all the joy you hoped it would, it's wonderfully engineered and at the top of USAA insurance companies reliability list for luxury midsize SUV's.

I figure there was some sort of battery stats that the car logs, ie in lenovo compter, they have battery manager that shows the sn, origin, charge/discharge stats, etc..
