My only problem is I get in turn it on subconsciously and forget and hit the start button again and turn it off. Very quite and can live with it just fine!!

I go outside to wash the car all the time in my shorts and forget the key fob, get in and takes me a second to figure out, oh yea I don't have the fob. These things spoil ya!!

All are good stories

Bob

Ha ha, yep just get in a rush and don't pay attention. Other vehicles is not an issue for you can hear and feel the motor.

I hate it when I push the start button but shift too fast, and the ready light doesnt come on so I have to push it back in P and repush the start button. This happens to be constantly

I was standing in the parking lot of a restaurant talking to friends before we went our separate ways when I noticed an old beater car backing his way to access the side door of the building to unload something. I was in a valid parking space but there was a narrow no-mans-land space beside me. He was on the opposite side of my recently purchased RX450 from where I stood. There was not quite enough space between my car and the building for him to get there but he was determined to try, mostly by looking away from my RX. I panicked! I abruptly stopped chatting and ran to my RX, jumping in to quickly get it moved. Just a few feet would do. The power button, my brake pedal, and the shifter just would not synchronize. I just sat there stomping on the dead gas pedal. After two failed tries, I just leaned on the horn while rolling down the passenger window to yell at the beater. A very close call. If it had been an old-style key-based vehicle I would have had enough time to get the car moved. I hope I get more proficient with this weird button system soon! Maybe I need the remote starter?

Guilty too. So I've learned to take my time and relax when I get in.

I had the 450h on while talking to a friend last week. It cycled between electric and gas with negligible MPG loss. I'm sure it would take a long time before it actually runs out of gas.

I always put on my seat belt before I drive, safety first. So I usually start it, click on my seat belt, then shift to drive.
