Default GS450h Exhaust Systems

When I search the internet for an exhaust for my GS450h it seems all I can find are exhausts for the 300, 350, and 430's. Is there a reason for this? Does anyone have any experience with installing a simple axle-back exhaust for better looks and just a few extra HP? I'm looking for a chrome sport exhaust, nothing too ridiculously loud. I want to spend the money and get a quality part, not something that is going to drone out my stereo on the highway. Please let me know if you know anyone that has experimented with exhausts on the GS hybrid.

Thanks.

Ricky

i dont think ive read about anyone instaling an exhaust on thier 450h...partly because im sure it would get annoying as the engine turns on and off alot...i got tons of complements on how quiete my car is, partly bc most ppl dont realise its a hybrid...what about just getting aftermarket exhaust tips and replacing the factory ones?

I think Modeler has the TTE exhuast on his 450h?

It will sound different not just b/c of the engine/hybrid difference but b/c of the CVT vs a conventional automatic.

yup, exactly the reason why i went with tips instead of full catback or axleback exhaust. if you revisit the targa newfoundland competition a couple of years ago in which a GS450h competed in, i was not impressed with the continuous exhaust drone that i heard.

Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. Considering the CVT tranny and what it does, exhaust tips would definitely be the way to go.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Ricky

Any power difference you are noticing? The exhaust note is pretty nice actually.

i doubt you will get any noticeable improvement in hp. it is only an exhaust after all. now if you want more power, you need to consider engine modifications, like tom's supercharger. or maybe NOS.

I never have expected to get more hp of the exhaust... I´ve only bought it because of it sounds. Stock constilation was a bit to quietly.

the official site of M2 is written that i get between 15-30 more hp.

If I get 5 hp, i´ll be happy
