I just bought a used 06 GS450h. Had a few days driving around and playing with the technology. However, no matter how hard i try, I cant fully charge my battery, there is still like 2 bars left till fully charged.

Also, When my car is parked on idling with near fully charged battery, the battery only last for 10-15mins with audio and air-con on. Is that normal?

 

Yes both normal. Its rare to get a full green bar battery, I have only seen it twice and I actually took a pic of it (I need to post lol).

As for idling, yup that is also normal.

To fully charge the battery, try to get it up to about green and find a hill to coast down, that should do the trick if you want to see it.

 

i myself have only gotten green bar battery a few times, and always missing the last green bar for full charge.

I've only seen the Green bar twice, both were from coasting down a long exit ramp. The first time I got really excited like 5 year old on Christmas morning. The wife called me crazy and said it's just green what's the big deal.

 

Got in the car today and to my surprise was greeted by this, wife normally drive the GSh.
