I was driving home from work this afternoon on the FDR, saw this and had to take a picture. 2010 RX450h as a NYC taxi.
Notice the picture sucks, driving and taking a picture with a cell phone ain't that easy.
Now that would make a good add. And it looks like (in the distant shot) he added some type of device on his bumper for pushing maybe? Or probably to absorb parking bumps.
Do you have a radar detector on your W/S, I thought you were a little ole lady driver
No old lady driving here, had an escort radar in the car, but nowhere to plug in. That thing on the left side is a toll tag, look for 'E-ZPass accepted' on the second picture.

I think we're the only ones to install our EZ Pass tag there.Mine is a bit higher because of the state inspection sticker.
Afraid the suction cups will fall causing the tag to fall and scratch the dash or wood area by installing the usual under the rear veiw mirror area like me?
NYC has many hybrids cabs. The RX does look ugly in taxi yellow.
wyau01, the pic of the lesxus cab was nice, but what I really enjoyed seeing were the road signs. I was born and raised in the Bronx, and that brought back old memories. Ah, nostalgia!
I don't use the suction cup on my "EZ-Pass" I'm afraid it's going to fall, as I place it right below the rear view mirror. Which is why I used velcro instead.
your's comes with suction cups? Ours in the bay area comes with velcro, but I feel the tag adds an unsightly thing to the windshield. So everytime I pass the toll, I take it out of my glovebox and hold it forward...haha

Actually, the tags do come with velcro but I don't like the look.I'd rather have the black plastic holder with my black interior.
And to think you pay $1 a month to 'rent' that fancy contraption called EZ-PASS...
Getting back to the hybrid taxi, I'd be curious to know how much they cost and what options it has in it. Maybe it's just me but I bristle at the thought of a 450h being (ab)used like that.

I put the EZ-Pass tag there to hold the registation and inspection stickers, they kept on falling off. Cops like to give tickets for that kind of BS so the city can make money.
