Looking at 2006 and 2007 RX400h
There is a small dealer that has two vehicles:
2006 Lexus RX 400h (Flint Mica/Black) 40,000 miles -fully loaded. price is negotiable
2007 Lexus RX 400h (Flint Mica/Gray) 38,000 miles -fully loaded, MP3/WMA, GEN5 NAV, etc. price is negotiable
I am leaning towards the 2006, for the Black interior. What is bolded are what I am looking for in my future RX. Is there a way to just plug and play the two radio systems? I looked at the following thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...-04-07-rx.html looks easy right?
I know the 2007 is the upgraded model (Wood, Gen5 Nav, improved cabin noise, etc.) but i absolutely despise light colored interiors.
Any comments?

The Gen5 NAV looks bettery, yes, however, I live quite happily with the Gen4 in my 2006. Seeing as you're going to spend all your driving time INSIDE the vehicle, then the colour of the interior should be your deciding factor. I don't know what you mean about the improved cabin noise. The 2006 radio (at least mine) won't play mp3 - I didn't realize that the 2007 did.

just came back from the dealer---
I forgot one HUGE problem. I drove both the vehicles, and there is an irritating noise coming from the back while driving. I tried many different solutions, but none worked.
-Pressed the buttons (DOWN)
-Took out the cargo cover
I am 99.9% sure the noise is coming from the back door itself.
Exactly, I am just glad it has navigation period. I'm going on the 330/350 views, I forgot the 400 didn't get improved cabin wise. haha.

One other difference from 06 to 07 was the NAV system usability. The downside of the 07 is that there is NO way to operate the NAV while the vehicle is moving. The 06 is disabled normally, but if you know the "secret handshake" <wink wink> you can override this and have your passenger enter destinations, etc. on the NAV while you're driving. Toyota/Lexus lawyers closed this secret loophole for the 2007 model year.
