Today's Consumer Reports
The new Consumer Reports came today. There was nothing about the 450h Lexus but they did do a test on the new Ford Fusion Hybrid. What was interesting was even though the hwy mileage was considerably higher '40mpg' (it should be for a mid-size 4dr/4cyl), the city mileage was much less '24mpg' then our 450h model rated at 32mpg (city) pulling near 5000 lbs and a 3.5L V-6. Of course those are EPA ratings, what they actually get is presumptive on driving habits, flat streets, etc.
Part of it might be they don't have the Atkinson design with an engine that 'stops' when coasting or stopped.
I'm not sure if this link will work w/o the subscriber password but ... javascript:toggleSection('section-4')
