Wow, I've been sneaking around these forums for almost 4~5 years, and yesterday we finally picked up our brand new MY08 RX400H! What can I say, so much better than our Gen4 camry, and those toys, WHOA, so many of them haha. I'll be sure to be entertained for a long long time. I love the little nifty things, the illuminated door sills, and especially the way the HIDs roll around when I start up! I've just got a few questions though;

1) Can I drive it like I stole it now? Or how long should I "run it in" for first?

2)Can I adjust the height of the low beam headlights? It feels like they're shining way way too high haha, or maybe just because they're so darn bright!

3)Where do you guys put your glasses? I used to have a glasses compartment in my camry, but there's no longer one in my RX

4) Could this car get any better????

 

I know how you feel. I'm not intentionally "breaking" ours in, but I am relearning how to drive by following the instructions in the manuals on how to achieve better gas mileage. Seems to be working for me.

Look around the forum, the answer to Q2 above seems to have been answered already.

Good luck with the glasses . . . ain't gonna find a place. But that cup holder just beneath the driver's air vent is a very neat thing.

Q4 answer: Yes. Folding outside review mirrors needed (and automatic in Park to boot); all-around parking assist; independently controlled rear seating A/C heating controls; built-in XM/Sirius satellite antenna fin; Bose sound system in lieu of the Mark Levinson (can't hear any difference between it and our Premium Lexus sound system in our 07 GS350) but our 05 Cadillac SRX premium Bose system puts this thing to shame; illuminated Lexus logo on the cargo door to be consistent with the illuminated Lexus door threshold plates. . . I'm having two leds drilled into mine hooked into the taillights to illuminate it at night (will post when it gets done); more variability on fan speed as we have on our GS350 (even on Lo, the fan is still too fast and noisy considering the hybrid system's quietness).

hmmm... mayb its different on the 08 RX400h, but on my 400h i can put my glasses in the drop down compartment right before the rear view mirror. maybe lexus took it out???

 

I guess I better not believe every post I read or at least make certain it is the same model year. I didn't even see the holder myself and I read and re-read the manual and skimmed right over it too. Sorry for posting an error but thanks for correcting my mistake.
