Question Pulling a popup camper

Hello all. Has anyone ever pulled a small camper or boat behind their RX400h? The specs say there is a 3500# tow capacity. I am considering buying a 2000# camper for a trip across country this year. Looking for real world experience from any RX400h owners out there.

Thanks.

srry, cant help you much, but my 4wd 400h is weak as hell. could barely make it up my driveway, so i doubt it could actually tow anything.

Well i've got an RX330, which tows our 3000 pound camper with ease. It has no problem keeping speed on grades or merging. And it has less power...

I realize this is a response years after the fact, but I drive an RX350 and have no issues towing my 16' Bambi Airstream I've had a brake controller installed and had electric work done for the towing package, but it tows like a charm and I'm forever battling with myself about whether to keep this as is or switch over to a camper van conversion...if I didn't love my RX SO MUCH it would be a much easier decision, but I'm having a very hard time with the thought of ever parting with my RX!

Towed a U-Haul at about 1500-1800 lbs across the country in a RX400H. No problems. It was still zippy, got about 19mpg on the trip. Anyone know the max tow on the RX400H? I'd go get my manual, but it's cold out right now.

Make sure you have the towing package on your rx 400h. (extra cooler for the transmission) did you do this yet and how did it go?
