CVT gives out when breaking!!!!
I have a 2007 Rx 400H, with approx. 24,000 miles. Just recently I've noticed that my CVT completely disables itself when braking at any speed. Basically I have to stop the vehicle with the tiny routers and pads, by depressing the brake pedal further then usually required. I do alot of city and some highway driving; it is really noticable in the city. Imagine a automatic vehicle (not hybrid), shifting down when you stopping it kind of feels like that. The hissing noise that you hear in the cabin cuts off. Also the battery level varies, so the battery level is probably out of the question. Any suggestions?
