My dealer just called today (Longo Lexus) and said my Neiman Marcus Launch Edition car will be ready for delivery by the second week in August. Although I originally wanted the Executive version, when I was offered a guaranteed delivery of the Neiman Marcus version I opted for that one. I'm just happy to be (or soon to be) one of the first LS600hL owners.
Congrats for the Launch Edition.
I saw a LS460L with the same color combination as the Neiman Marcus 600hL (we don't have this Launch Edition up here, but we do have the Truffle Mica available for all LS models), & I think it looks really beautiful inside & out , even without the black leather dash(since it's a 460L) & the 2-tone interior. I might consider this color combination myself.
Longo is jacking you around! All Launch Editions came into Long Beach and were trucked to their respective dealerships. Pohaka Lexus here in VA got theirs last week, so if Longo can't get one for another month that seems really strange to me.
Actually, they weren't paid for yet. I was asked to put a $10K deposit down and pay the balance on delivery. I asked the sales manager at Longo why people in other parts of the country are already getting their Launch Edition car and why I have to wait another month. They said delivery on the West Coast is being controlled by Neiman Marcus and they cannot start delivering the cars until August 1st. Longo said they are getting 5 Launch Edition cars only. He did say, as a consolation, that I get mine before Rupert Murdock gets his. I think they were just being conservative by telling me mid-August. Hopefully it will be sooner. I wonder if the cars are numbered (1-100)? I’ll post as soon as I know more info.
