That seems unfair, but then again, the only place you can get that option in the US is in the western district, because of Lexus' weird distribution rules. I had to ship mine cross country because of that stupid policy. Would there be a problem (aside from cost) if you brought one in from the US with ***? You Canada guys are also stuck with DRLs, but at least there's a legal reason for that.

Actually, many people do bring cars in from the US to Canada. And cars work out to be slightly cheaper in the US. However, it is more hassle, and we have to make slight modifications to the car in order for it to comply with Canadian safety laws.

Okay, so today, I went to drive the LS460 and the GS430. I had a few questions for the people that have a 3GS and have driven the rest or at least know the reputation of the rest. I know that the LS is supposed to be an executive, quiet, luxury sedan. I know that the IS is supposed to be the small, sport, luxury sedan. What are the characteristics of the GS supposed to be, aside from it being luxurious.

The simply answer is that the GS is supposed to a mix of the IS and LS - less sporty than the IS, but with more comfort than the IS. I suppose the idea is that young people who can afford the IS want a sportier car, while older folk who can afford the LS put a priority on comfort. The GS fits in between.

imho, it's in between.

it's larger, more spaceous, more luxurious, and quieter than the 2IS, but it has worse handling, not as balanced, and not as "easy" to drive than the 2IS

whereas compare to the 4LS, it handles much better and a lot more sporty, but it lacks the class and the quietness / smoothness of the LS

Did somebody say this car looks like his Dad should be driving it? The New LS looks HOT! (better with the 5 spoke wheels) This car looks nothing at all like an old mans car. If i was young again and my Dad drove an LS460 I'd be proud!!!!

Yeah, I think the new LS460 should be more appealing to relatively younger car buyers than the LS430, it looks so much sleeker . . .

When I was at the dealership, I was asking the person I bought my 3LS from what the age profile was, he told me that is was the 45+ age group. When I talked to him about the 4LS, he still said the same thing. There might be some people buying it that are younger than 45, which I know there are a lot on this board, but he said that the age profile would still most likely be the same.

I've put a post on the 1IS forum about a Supra swap, the reason why I'm asking a lot of questions now, is because that the 2 cars that aren't Lexus's that are in my sig, both got into an accident. The Celica got a hit and run from a couple of teens, and the Supra got rear ended by a E63 AMG as the toll booth. So, I'm mad and sad right now.
