You know what's funny, the RX400h is not selling that great in the east coast and other parts of the country, but here in CA, dealerships are having a hard time trying to keep them in stock...and even going as far as doing dealer trades from those regions just to stay with demand.

Thanks for the update Fikse. Thats starting to sound very attractive. I think I might call my dealer tomorrow and see what they can do. If not, JM can ship a car for $500 to my door.

Talk to Joe Savino at Rallye. He can do better. I got a fantastic deal on my RX300 from him.

On the other hand, hybrids of all kinds sell like hot cakes near major metro areas, so don't expect miracles. You may find better deals in rural area like Kentucky or Ohio. Simply drive it back to New York and register it yourself.

Picked up my 400h today...$3000 off with ML and heated seats. No trade in, last day of the month helped. Chose flint mica with black interior. So far I love the car...for some reason it seems a lot faster than the demo I drove.

They have every color on the lot except white and flint if anyone wants the same deal. Just let me know.

I picked up my silver/black 400h last Thursday, $3545 off. Loaded car (factory rear DVD, Mark Levinson, rain sensing wipers, heated seats), stickered at $52545, got it for $49000.

Love it

This is in NJ BTW. Talked to 3 other dealers, right off the bat they said ZERO discount on 400h. Then I talked to another salesman whom I bought 2 other cars from. Took some effort for him to convince his manager to OK the deal, especially on the only car they had with all the options in the exact color combo I want.

First tank of gas went 380 miles, took 13.9 gallons to fill. Computer says 26.8MPG , 85% highway, speed varied between 55-70.

Ahh, you beat Andye....nice work. I had them installing a 10" RES at a discount, but then backed out after realizing i'll never ever even turn it on. They were giving me a great interest rate that I couldnt find anywhere else so I stopped the haggling and signed away.

I'm looking forward to great gas mileage here - I drive probably 90% city here.

Default Discounts?

I have negotiated a price of $47,983 for a 400h with ML, heated seats, cargo cover and wheel locks which is about $3,000 below MSRP. Is anyone seeing prices lower than this?

Thanks - I have until Monday to let them know.

Wow. The way things look, those if us in CA looking for hybrids are better off buying out of state and shipping the cars here.

$46,000 on a brand new Flint Mica with gray interior. Almost $4000 off MSRP.
