Default Bang when slowing to a stop

My RX350h makes single "BANG OR CLANK sound when coming to a stop. Winter Park mechanics can't reproduce the problem. Have had it in the shop two times now. It doesn't happen evwr time. They need to take it on short stop and starts to reproduce the problem. Theyhave not put enough time into it to reproduce the problem.

Insist that you drive it with the SOW or tech riding along.
it’s ridiculous those people think that, because they can’t duplicates the problem, the problem dues not exist.

Record the issue to show them what is happening, at least then you have it documented if there should be a more serious issue causing the noise.

Create a video recording to present to the shop. We had a sunroof clunk "we can't hear it" and the video prompted them to clear it up.

I think that the dealers are required to witness a problem, otherwise they won't get paid for a procedure. Sometimes even a video or a picture isn't enough.

When we brought our RX in for the rear camera recall the other day, I presented them with several software updates that were mentioned here. Wanted them to do it while the car was hooked up to their TechStream.

They told me they couldn't.

OP, where does the sound come from? Does it occur with easy braking as with a gentle slow down?

Or a harder braking?

Maybe check for a loose item under the cargo hatch?
