Hi! Is it even possible to factory-order a 450h+? I’m in no hurry and know exactly how I want it configured. (And trying to avoid dealer add-ons.). Thanks!

 

No. Dealers get what dealers get. I emailed all dealers I was willing to travel to with my wish list (ie. model, color, trim). Luckily, a dealer near me had the exact NX I wanted. I had to accept (pay for) the digital key/ crappy Qi charger I didn't want, so you might get factory options you don't want.

 

AFAIK, PHEVs are a small market niche, so what you would consider normal doesn't really apply.
I think the best you can do is what @DenverRx did (I did that too).
My previous car was a Toyota RAV4 Prime (another PHEV) and the same situation applied.

Exactly what is stated above. Just purchased a 350h for my wife. Several dealers stated they could not special order, they get what they get from the factory in Toronto.
That said I found a great dealer(Sewell Dallas) that told me they had a few on order, one of them almost matched my exact requirements. I ended up with 2 extra features (heads up display & ambient illumination)
Find a dealer that is willing to work with you, keeping an eye for the options you are interested in. Overall it took about 6 weeks to get the car.

Just took home a 450H+ Luxury with slightly over $1000 in unwanted extras... jumped on it as it was available.We wanted a Macan S but do not have time to order one. The ones in stock on the lot had $10,000-$15000 with rediculous extras. Forget it. Very happy with the 450... Cloud w/ Maca
