Smile car service battery

Good morning, I'm new here and I'm writing from Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). I have a question: do you know if driving in electric mode recharges the vehicle's battery, or does it only recharge when the combustion engine is running? To be clear, I'm referring to the car's auxiliary battery. Thank you very much.

It will be charged at all times. It is charged from the hybrid battery thru a dc/dc converter.

This is partially correct. Yes, it is charged via the Li-Ion battery pack via an algorithm but, it is not charged at all times. The charging times are very spotty and, in my opinion, insufficient in order to keep the state of charge on the 12v auxiliary battery at a proper level. I have a voltage gauge plugged into my 12v socket in the center console. When the car is in READY mode and in PARK, it reads 14.2 to 14.4v but, normally it will quickly drop down to 12.5 to 12.6v after the car is placed in DRIVE. This lower voltage is not enough to charge the auxiliary battery. On rare occasion, I will see it stay at 14.2v when driving but, only briefly. I believe that the algorithm needs to be reprogrammed and updated.

I am new here also. I just got my 25 NX450h+ in August.. Before that I had a 21 rav4 prime for four years. It has the same power train. My NX charges at 14.4 most of the time, especially when first starting On the rav, the 12v lasted almost 4 years with normal ops. I never had an issue with 12v. I left it sit in a garage for over two weeks and never had an issue. I have not left the NX that long yet, but again the battery charges fully to 12.5 to 12.8 even on short trips. I have a Scan gage ll (SGll). It monitors a lot of things. Have a look at what it will do.
I just finished a 600 Km trip and it sat at 12.8 all the time, except for just after starting.
If the battery is full, it will usually show 12.5 to 12.8. There is nothing wrong with the system. It seems a lot of people seem to think that the 12v should sit at something higher when operating. If it is full, it will fall back and sit at its normal full voltage.
I'm new, but I spent a lot of time on the Rav4 forum. a ton of info is available the applies to the NX.
