Question Charging question RX450h+

I drove at least 44 miles round trip last night to a winery and back with 2 miles of EV remaining. When I plugged it in the alert popped up as usual saying "The battery is currently 39% charged".

Does that percentage include the HV portion of the battery and if so how much off the 39% would that be? In other words, what percentage of the EV battery did I have remaining?

Thanks

The first thing that came to my mind was:

How much wine did you consume????? <---I KNOW it is always good to taste before buying...
Would a different destination have affected the outcome?

+++++++++++++

We don't have a PHEV, but at least I'm following now, because I am curious as to the answer!

Ha! Shared some samples with my wife so maybe 1/2 to 1 glass.

But when I got home, I did enjoy an old-fashioned while watching the last two episodes of Better call Saul

That percentage includes the charge reserved for HV mode. The lowest I have seen it is 25% at zero miles EV range.
I've also seen it as high as 37% with zero miles EV range.
I've seen it range from 36 to 38% with 1 mile EV range.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, When I look at the traction battery charge level in Dr Prius, 100% in the Lexus app corresponds with 90.6% usually, though that varies from 88-91% in Dr Prius and 25% in the Lexus app corresponds with 12.55% in Dr Prius.

The EV range in miles makes much more sense than the Lexus app percentage.

Yeah, I will just ignore the app and go by the remaining EV range.

Thanks

Looks like the Lexus app recently changed the way it reports charge level.

Last week, it reported 30 miles of range as 77%. This week it reports the same 30 miles as 60% i hadn't recorded the Dr Prius level, but 77% in the Lexus app used to show around 60% in the Dr Prius app.

I drove it to 39 miles of range and it showed 80%, with Dr Prius showing 75.3% Lexus app would have shown about 89% before.

I drove it to 26 miles of range and it now shows 53%, with Dr Prius showing 54.1% Lexus app would have shown about 69% before.

Strange. More confused now.

I think they've changed it to be more accurate. It didn't really make sense before

We used up all of the EV range yesterday and the battery level showed as 0% in the app. 100% when the battery is full and 0% when there is no ev range left makes a lot more sense than before
