NX450h+
I just bought a PHEV yesterday and noticed that the car comes with a level 1 charger, which would take 12 hours to charge. I want to get a level 2 charger but I assume that I would need to get the Lexus specific one or has anyone bought a non-Lexus version?
I have the Battery Tender Level 2 charger which hooks up to a 220 V outlet that my electrician installed. Works great and charges way faster! It also has a 110 Adapter to work on 110 outlets but it downgrades to Level 1 charging.

Any 220 or 240 volt line will charge it much quicker than the 110 volt standard in most US homes. My wife has the NX PHEV and she uses my Tesla 240 volt charger all the time. It takes about 2.5 hours versus 12 for the 110 when fully drained. I used to use the 110 for my Prius Prime, charging it overnight. With a fully electric BEV, that is not practical, unless you don't drive very many miles between charges. A PHEV of course can run on gas when needed. I would have a qualified electrician install a home charging station, but that is a personal preference. BTW, some states have rebates/incentives for this. Mine, NC, has Duke Energy and they rebated the installation of around $600 for us.
Any level 2 charger with a J1772 connector will work. I don’t even know if Lexus makes/sells a Lexus branded charger. I got an Emporia with a NEMA 14-50 electrical cable off Amazon for about $400. Works great. As others have reported, takes about 2&1/2 hours for full charge.
Here are two options for plug adapters, depending on your 240v outlet type:
14-50: 10-30:
I initially did this with my two PHEV's until I finally bit the bullet and purchased an Emporia EVSE on Amazon.

I have an emporia because my wife has the plug in for her Rav4 and that works great, so you can purchase other brands, but check with your local electrician who installs car charges before purchasing.btw it chages my NX from empty to full in about 2.5 hours
