2025 Lexus RX450h+ Trailer Hitch
You are welcome.
I can't speak to dealers' cluelessness, but I doubt they would be allowed to sell a Torklift hitch over their much lower quality/functionality OEM Lexus hitch. BTW, my Ecohitch cost me less than the 2" OEM Lexus hitch and is far, far superior to Lexus'.

The shop relocated my kick sensor as well, so both the hitch and the sensor work perfectly.

I installed the Torklift hitch on my 2024 RX450h+ myself and also bought and installed the Lexus tow converter, as well. It works just fine and without a single issue. Once again, it demonstrates that some dealership personnel are totally clueless and/or just make stuff up as they go along. The hitch is a breeze to install and the converter is fairly easy but, it is a little time consuming, as there are panels and items that must be removed during installation to gain access to the plug and mounting area in the right rear cargo area.
When I installed the EcoHitch, I had also previously purchased the tow converter online from a Lexus dealer website, at a discounted cost. I then added the final harness, which I purchased on Amazon (Curt 56083). You could detach it, if you wish. I simply added a metal mounting tab for it and leave in on the vehicle. It's mounted up under the car so it's not visible.

trying to understand the hitch world but if I’m installing the hitch only to buy a bike rack for this hitch I don’t need these two additional items do I? Sorry for this noobie question.
I had the Ecohitch installed for a bike rack. It cost me a little bit but it was worth it to not have to buy anything extra and any brain damage I would have had from worrying that I was doing it correctly. I'm pretty handy, but just didn't want to deal with the installation. The sensor works perfectly for the tailgate and I'm happy with everything.
If you are able to use a socket wrench, or box wrench, you will be fine. Installation is quite easy. I did mine by myself but, I have a rolling floor jack and used that to hold it in place while I started the bolts. It would most likely be a bit easier if you had a helper/second set of hands to hold things up during assembly. There is absolutely no need to reposition the kick sensor after the install, as it works just fine, just as it did prior to the hitch being there. You do have to remove it temporarily during the process. It is a bit of a tight fit but, having looked at other hitches, it is by far the best one out there, despite the higher cost. It is stainless steel and that, in itself, is a big plus, especially if you live in a place where you have municipalities throwing calcium chloride on the streets during the Winter.
One other tip......If you think that you will ever want to use the hitch to tow a trailer at some point in the future, you may want to add the final wiring pigtail prior to the hitch, as once the hitch is in place it is almost impossible to reach the plug-in connection that will soon be above the hitch crossbar. It's not costly and it will save you time and energy in the future.

as to your other comment I won’t be towing any boats or small jet skis. Just bike racks.
wish there were more videos to see the install for the RX. Haha
thanks!
This is just one example but, there are many of them available online.
