Default DIY - differential and transfer case vents

I have a 2024 RX450h+. The maintenance schedule states to "Inspect differential and transfer case vents for obstruction."

What exactly do you do to check for obstructions? Just for clear area?
Where are these vents located? Would someone have a picture of diagram for them?

Thank you in advance!

Our 500h does not have differential or a transfer case. (Rear axle is electric motor driven)

But often, transmissions have a vent somewhere. Look for a rubber plug with a 'finger' on it. You could remove it and look, or blow air (Keyboard Duster) through it. Differentials have it on top of the case, usually.

I know that on my past cars, I must clean/check the vents every year. One Honda CVT that my daughter owns, they put the CVT vent in the front of the trans cwhere it sucks up dirt.

Thank you @Carbuff2 . In a couple months, I'll be putting on the winter tires and that's my excuse to craw under the car and look around too. Now that I know what yo look for, if I do locate it I'll try to get a picture or two and share.

Revisiting this topic. I crawled under the car and couldn't for the life of me, find the vent. I read the service schedule and the specific item is
Inspect differential and transfer case vents for obstruction.
. Anyone got a picture or diagram of what and how to locate this vent ?

Just like the 500H, I believe rear and front wheels of the 450H+ are driven by electric motors.

Same is true for 350h. Rear wheels not connected to the ICE.
