Active Noise Control/Cancellation
Hello All, On my 2023 RX500h, I can locate the Active Sound Control, but to my understanding this is the fake engine sound option, as I can't notice any change in cabin noise by making changes on this.
On the other hand, I have heard that Lexus also has an Active Noise Cancellation(ANC) system, which, by use of a tech similar to what is on airpod pros, significantly decreases the cabin noise.
Does anyone know the ANC exists in new RX lineup? If so, how it is turned on/off as I am pretty sure even if exists, it is off as I am measuring around 8-10 dB higher measurements compared to what is on youtube reviews.
Thanks

States the car has active noise cancellation. No settings for it in the multimedia though.

Someone here has talked about how it is not accessible in settings but the dealer can disable it for you. It was in the context of aftermarket stereo upgrades, I'm looking for the post now because very interested in that topic...
On the other hand, for the record, my finding is that it does exist on all Gen 5 RX models. Whereas on RX500h it is combined bith fake engine noise. So if you turn it off, ANC is also off. Not sure if you turn it high, it becomes high or not, which I wouldnt expect.
Still, my cabin is as noisy as a comparable SUV in the market, so having difficulties in understanding why this vehicle is being praised buy it's quiteness..
Do you mean that the 500h is being praised for its quietness ? I have found that the RX450h+ being praised for quietness (it lacks the fake engine noise inside the cabin at least), but not the NX450h+ as much - and aside from lesser noise insulation material in the NX and the runflat tires, my understanding is that the fake engine noise is a reason (given what I read in the NX forums).
If it's noisy, then something is wrong.
The cabin inside the 450h+ sounds almost the same whether I am driving in EV or HV mode (and EV mode is pretty much silent).
If I can only just prevent the wife from opening the darn windows

I agree in that the 450h+ is pretty much silent in EV mode as most(if not all the noise) is road noise. The ICE has a muted growl when on and is totally acceptable for me. The combination of the hybrid system and ICE make for a decently deceptive quick car in passing situations as well.

Hi everyone,
I'm considering getting the 2024 Lexus RX 350h and was wondering if it comes equipped with Active Noise Control (ANC). I know that some of the higher-end models offer this feature, but I couldn't find specific details about the RX 350h.
If it doesn't have ANC, does anyone know the reason why? Is it due to the hybrid system or something else? I'd appreciate any insights or experiences you can share!
Not having the ANC , does it make a huge difference anything more than >5 decibels
Thanks in advance!
