But ... Being hybrid RX 450H is not supposed to start. It should show Ready in the instrument cluster.
So please describe what you see in the instrument cluster
Any lights on? Any Message in the display area? Can you turn on the headlights? Can you blow the horn? Do the brake lights come on when you press the brake pedal?

Note: When you answer the questions that are raised, we can help you to diagnose remotely or give our best response.
Please elaborate on what you see in the cluster as you enter and close the door.
Also what happens when you press the brake pedal ... have some one stand behind to ensure to confirm and then post that the tail brake lights come on or not.
I understand you have the battery on trickle charge [more one this later], but have you tried to boost the battery and with the boost are you able to see Ready and able to start consistently.
Trickle charge and accessories:
Accessories can handle supply as low as 9v. The only inference I can make from your reply is that the fuses for accessories work and the key is recognized to be there.
Batteries eventually fail even if they are charged regularly or even overnight. There are internal resistance and at times shorts that prevent full revival of batteries. Regular charge up and trickle charge extends the life but eventually every manufactured item returns to its natural state.
