Hi, fellow Lexus enthusiasts I need some help to figure out what's going on with the actual range on the NX 350h. As per Lexus, it's 916 km or 569 miles. I usually see around 775 after filling up my tank which is short 130km or so. Now if I do the math a 55-litre tank at an average of 6 L/100km gives me a range of 916 km. (Autonomy=6.055×100=9.1667×100≈916.67 kilometres) Now the issue is. I'm getting nowhere near this 916km range even though I average 5.4 L/100km which should actually give me a range of 1018 km (Crazy right). If my app shows me a range of 775 km with a 55 L tank it means that my actual average is 7.1 L/100km so why is my car showing me an average of 5.4 L/100km. Is anyone getting over 900 km or 554 miles on a single tank? Is there somewhere in my settings where I can see my actual fuel consumption?
The calculated range displayed within the car is NOT based on consuming all 55L of fuel. Its more of a "safe range" using, perhaps about 45L. There is a hefty reserve.

Is that right? That does make sense. I guess that by that logic I could probably drive 100km or so on E. Not gonna try it but it does make sense. Do you see the same range on your app too?
When I first picked up last year, I was averaging 720-750km per tank.
In the winter my range dropped and I was only getting about 650-680km on a single tank.
However, this year, since circa April, I've consignment been getting 900km on a tank. I will probably go even further (car's computer thinks I can do ~940km in my tank) but I'm not going to run my car till it's empty. Since my last fill up, I've done 890km, I have 1 bar left, estimated range left is ~52km with no fuel light in yet.
I use regular 87 octane fuel and it probably contains up to 10% ethanol but I'm not sure. I mostly buy my fuel from Costco and I have 26000km on the odometer. Also, right now, I'm averaging 5.4L/100km.
So I'd say the first 10k kms were the engine breaking in fully and me learning to drive a hybrid properly, especially coming from the 2IS.
So just keep driving the car regularly and allow the car to do its thing. That said, several factors can affect your overall mpg.
Finally, don't sweat it. It'll settle in the proper place.

Thanks. I'll try to see if I can push it to 800 next time. I wouldn't even dream of 900 though 😅
In specification, NX350h shall have 595 miles of range. When i first picked up my car, at full tank it has 545 miles. After refilled the gas for the first time with 93 Octane gas, it had 510 miles. I called the technical department and was told that this is just approximate based on your last drive history, not accurate.
