Fuel range
Man why is the GSF gas tank so small? 550 miles on my car and i'm on my 4th tank. Granted i fill up when it says fuel range 60 miles but still. Fuel range is a joke.

Says 50-60 mile range left when i'm filling it. 4th fill up. About 1/2 tank left right now. So yeah around 210 miles real range until it reads 0 mile range. Tank is way too small! I am ok with the 17mpg (fully expected) but it sucks filling up every few days with like $25 worth of gas. M5 got around 400 miles on a tank. M3 gets around 350 miles/tank. My X5 got about 700 miles/tank (diesel). Gas is cheap. Not worried about that but stopping to fill up this often is pretty ridiculous. Either that or the reserve is like 5 gallons! I don't really want to find out the hard way.

Following up on this. Filled up today. Guage said 65 mile range but only took 10 gallons to fill. That means there was over 7 gallons left in the tank. So the fuel range and fuel gauge are holding a ton of fuel reserve. When the range reads zero there should still be roughly 3.5-4 gallons in the tank or about 65 miles extra range. So from now on i am filling up when the range says zero.

the 5 is only 1gallon more than the gs so i don't think it makes that much of a difference. maybe the gsf is still in break in? i am surprised you got 350 miles on the m3, was it the e9x or the f3x? when i had my e93 m3 i was lucky to get 280 miles.
i think turbo helps quite a bit on fuel economy

Just got my GS-F 5 days ago. First tank averaged 17'ish MPG. The smaller tank may be due to the extra hardware required for the TVD differential. However, what a thrill to drive. I don't drive hard usually, but it is fun to have the power available. This car is a 'head-turner' for sure. I like having the only one like it in town, so far.
UPDATE: Had this car almost a month now; although it was at the dealer Friday-Tuesday waiting right front tire. Picked up a nail in the outer rib rendering it unfixable. Not even 500 miles. Oh well that is life. Fuel: I am approaching the 1000 mile check up and am averaging 19.8 mpg with daily driving in city. I play in sport and sport+ occasionally. This car has the same mileage ratings as my previous 2001 LS-430. From fill up straight to a 25 mile trip across town interstate I was getting over 26mpg running around 65-70 mph in rush hour traffic. I was very pleased with that; but then I did not buy this car with my eyes shut nor did I buy it for great mileage expectations. It is, after all, a 4100lb, 467hp sport sedan.

I think the 3 gallon reserve is to cool the fuel pump. Last time I pumped with 0 mile range, the 17.4 Gallon tank in the rcf, same as the GSF, took only 14.5 gallons. Yes it's PITA to refuel every 210 miles, average 14.5 mpg. It's not like the engineers are trying to save weight since both models are around 2 ton curb weight to begin with. On second thought, my girlfriend's is250 never went over 14.5 gallons either when dry. Most likely they were being lazy and took it from the same parts bin.

I usually get 280-300 on the display after a full fill up. With roughly 17ish mpg combined from the little display, in a 2019 f sport, I dont really drive on highways that often so a lot of city driving plus awd means crappy mpg I wish it was the fwd mpg specs lol

This is totally normal.
All performance model sedans have smaller gas tanks to save weight.
For example, the BMW M5 has 35% smaller gas tank than a baseline model 5 series.
My E60 M5 had a tank of 55 liters. While my wife's 525 had 75 liters.
I bet the GS350 has a much larger tank.

I average anywhere from 25-31 mpg in Eco mode. When I drive in Sport+ I watch the gas gauge go down instantly (with a smile). My suggestion is to drive in Eco mode if you're looking for mpgs.
