Charger for NX450h
I don't know anything about that brand but I remember reading something in the Manual and a few threads on the forum about not being able to use a Tesla Super Charger. I think as long as it can charge the 40 Amp you're good. But if it is a Super Charger I'd check to be certain.
@Uspeed I didn't think we could use Super Charger with the 6.6kw? I'm assuming the Super Charger is the Tesla and I thought that was taboo to use.

@Sounds I was the same back in April. You need to make some decisions about how your'e going to charge 110V or 240V. If you decide to go with a 240V charger, then you'll need to decide on a charger brand, how you're going to power the charger up (charger hard wired direct to panel or from panel to a 240V plug-in). You should call your current electric company and see what the policy is with rates for charging EV's. Some offer a lower rate during non-peak charging some offer no lower rate. Our electric company is a co-op and their rate is the same 24/7/365.
I was completely dumb about it and asked my son who is an electrical engineer at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. Here is my text to him and his response:
My Question:
● Home power source Charging voltage: AC 120V Charging current: 12A Estimated charging time: Approximately 12 hours
VERSUS
● AC charger (vehicles with 7 kW onboard traction battery charger*) Charging voltage: AC 240V Charging current: 32A Estimated charging time: Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes
Matt, does one use more power than the other? Which is cheaper? Just curious. Would you use the 120 for 12 hours or the 240 for 2.5 hours?
His Response:
All else being equal, the 240 volt circuit would consume about 11% more total energy, per charge.
But the 120 volt circuit charge time is 400% longer.
But if you don't EVER expect to need to charge quickly, I'd go with 120.
I just know that the first time I want to GO, but have to wait 12 hours, I'ma wish I had the 240.
I went with a ChargePoint Charger and ordered DIRECT from ChargePoint. I read on the internet about a lot of vendors selling on Amazon don't provide true ChargePoint chargers or used as new and a bunch other reasons. Here is what my order was for:
Product SKU: CPH50-NEMA14-50-L23
Product Name: ChargePoint Home Flex, NEMA 14-50 Plug
Qty Ordered: 1
Amount: $ 749.00
Subtotal: $ 749.00
Shipping: $ 0.00
Tax: $ 44.94
Total: $ 793.94
I ordered the direct hard wire to panel to the charger. You can get the other type that is an outlet similar to a dryer outlet that you plug the charger in to. I didn't like that approach.
I also went with a local electric contractor to install. It cost me $268 labor and material (my charger is right next to the panel so it didn't take a lot of wire (the most expensive part of the material) as it was maybe 2' total. There is a company that Dealers recommend and I initially went with them for $1,200 but canceled the same day after speaking to the local electric contractor. The company name is Qmerit.
Another item to remember is the NX450H+ offers NO Tax Rebate, at least for Federal and Florida taxes. Having said that, you can deduct up to $1,000 for the EV Charger and Installation. So if you buy a charger and have it installed, keep the receipts.
You can get a bunch of info on the ChargePoint website. They even have a bunch of videos you can watch to help with decisions, installation and all that stuff. There are a BUNCH of other charger brands out there. I went with ChargePoint because they have most of the Pay to Charge points at fuel stations and Hotels and all sorts of free places.
Hope this helps and good luck.

$70k. Is that with a price adjustment?
