Default How to lock with remote key when the engine running?

Hi everyone,

I'm a delivery guy and 2 days ago when I was delivering somebody tried to steal my car.. This was one the shocking times of my life. She was locked the card inside and didn't go out and but luckily she couldn't switched the gear and couldn't run away.

So, I really need to know how to lock my car with the remote key.. I know that I can lock it with the key but it's not convenient all the time, especially at the rush times..

If someone knows how to lock my HS250h when it's running with the *remote key* or any other 3rd party utility which is convenient please help me out..

Thank you

This is a weird request. Your car is a hybrid, so there is no reason to keep the car running when you are not in the car. In fact letting hybrid idle is not really recommended. Also, your car has keyless entry so locking and unlocking is not an issue - you simply touch the door handle to lock or unlock, or use the remote.

I agree. There is no reason to leave it on as the motor will shut down on its own if the charge is enough.
Just shut it down and lock it. You will not lose any time since the handle is touch operated and the system only takes a few seconds to reboot.

I worked as a messenger for 3 months right after college, ran up 10,000 miles on a 1978 Ford Fiesta Locked myself out once, but was able to punch the vent window open without breaking the lock. That is how long ago it was, cars had vent windows. It had a stick shift and manual windows, no A/C, and got about the same mileage as the HS.

You should talk to a Lexus dealer if you want to explore other possibilities.

You cannot lock it with the fob while the car is running, only with the manual key or the lock button inside the door panel.
