Well, count me in as a member of the oil consumption club. I checked the oil level yesterday, about a month and a half after my previous inspection and found the oil level 1/2 between the full and add 1 mark on the dipstick. It has been 6500 miles and ten months since my last oil changes I just did a full oil change and added oil to the full mark. Our vehicle is 13.5 years old and has 108,300 city miles on the odometer. I think with what oil consumption I am seeing, I might adjust my oil change interval to 5,000 miles for now while I monitor the consumption changes over time. For folks whose cars are consuming oil, did it start slow and get worse over time quickly or slowly?
