Navigation Nanny Override?

Has anyone ever figured out if there is a "back door" disabling the nanny mode of our Nav systems? As soon as you hit a few mph the screen locks up most of the useful entry modes. I know I can contact Lexus Enform and they are great indeed, but I think it's also a distraction to have to poke around the Nav while driving and getting one dead screen after another. This isn't a big deal but I hate it. This is my 3rd Lexus with this annoyance, but I have had German cars with no such "mother knows best" modes. The voice command has it's bad days when it just doesn't feel like working so I rarely use it for navigation.

Look at the 2007-2012 ES350 forum stickies threads at the top. There are 2 that address your issues.

Actually that's pretty cool if it works as advertised. I don't even think the price is that outrageous. I just don't like modifying my car in that way while it's under warranty. I've kind of given up on the idea. I know when I'm beat. Time for a new car this year anyway. Thanks for that link though!
