Default Change Map Lights LED

Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove the Map light enclosure? I am having trouble doing it and I don't want to break anything.

Thanks,

Mohammed

I've done it. You'll need the plastic interior pry tools so you don't scratch anything.

Read here for a little extra info:

Also, choose your new bulbs carefully. There are so many choices in LED bulbs and these are hard to get to, so you want to do it only once. Some LED bulbs might even be worse than the originals, so choose wisely.

Here is a picture of the Japanese map light assembly I found. It's similar. See the clips all around the sides? See the two blue plug type clips that you have to pull out after you remove the screws?

The bulbs are under the two black quick turn plugs.

Thanks a lot for the help. Can you verify that it's a 175 bulb as I see online? I want to make sure I have the right bulb before I start this.

I think a 175 and 194 are the same type bulb. Search for a 194 because there are millions of different types of those.

Don't quote me, but you might be looking for something like this:

I think it needs to be focused with the light firing straight down.
