I just found out the hard way that my new Bluetooth phone is not compatible with my 2010 HS250h. It's an older model Casio phone (bought new on Ebay) that meets military specs for shock and underwater use. I also needed it to work with my Panasonic Link to Cell system that allows my cell phone to act as a home phone; this works fine with the Casio Bluetooth.
I suggest that you put this link somewhere as a sticky so that forum users can check to see if a phone that they are considering will work with their model Lexus:

I always thought bluetooth was bluetooth, and it would work anywhere ??????????????
