Default Multi-information display: what's your preference?

When it comes to the multi-information display (MID), do you prefer to keep it on or off? If you keep it on, what information do you usually have displayed?

I always have the MID on. I prefer to keep the energy monitor as the "default" display.

I generally display either temp, fuel consumption for tank, or cruising range. It would be nice if it could display elapsed time since vehicle started. It would also be nice if it was possible to customize what info does/does not appear when flipping through the available displays. For example, if I have no interest in the average speed feature, I could disable it so that I don't have to click through so many screens to get to info that I do want to see. It would also be nice if the LKA icon was more useful -- e.g., display an arrow pointing left/right indicating which way the driver should steer in lieu of just flashing the two bars when the system alerts. It would also be nice if the MFD would not switch from the user's selected info screen to show the LKA bars every time the LKA system resumes detection of road markings after being unable to detect markings momentarily. Alternatively, show the LKA bars for a few seconds to indicate the status change, then automatically switch back to showing the user's last selected info screen.

I usually got mine set to the outside temperature. Most of the other settings give me the dreaded video game syndrome. This interferes with what's most important, looking ahead to avoid trouble. I also do not check my rear view mirror(s) as often as I should. Always trying to beat my last top score seems to make a easy drive a bit more stressful and dangerous.

Why the outside temperature you may ask. Just to help rationalize the cost of my new tint's heat reducing properties inside the cabin. So far, I'm loving it.

I prefer the current mpg/gas mileage. Don't see why Lexus can't make the mileage more accurate. They could just multiply the present figure by .9 and be a whole lot closer than they are now.

i put energy monitor but i meant the current fuel consumption. I'm sure others pressed energy monitor too not knowing what the 'multi' display was.
