this should probably go here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hs-250h-model-216/
but yes, doesn't look as good as the ISx50

From what I've been able to gather, the iPod integration is pretty pathetic. And the Nav system remains behind the competitors (specifically Acura and Infiniti) - no cool 3D graphics integrated traffic, etc. And it sounds like (based on the 2010 RX which I assume has the same system since it has the same mouse controller), Lexus continues to shut things down when the car is in motion. Evidently you cant even select individual ipod songs while the car is in motion.
Will be interested to hear people's real-world experience on this...

Thx for the pics! That's right, the car is not a great looker, but its feature and function count is more than any other entry luxury sedan out there, and even some flagships.
I've tested the iPod integration and it works quite well, playlists etc. are accessible, the NAVI system is crisp and clear, and the causal voice commands are a first for the market. The HS also comes with the XM NavTraffic, NavWeather, etc. and with the Enform system which gives stock quotes, reviews, sports scores etc. Good thing they have the Remote Touch system to navigate it, it's really like having a computer in the car. I hope they add more of these features to other Lexus models.

ventilated seats = fan inside blowing air
cooled seats = Amerigon cooler, with special temperature device.
The LS 460/600h and the LX 570 have the cooled seats, not just ventilated. IS/ES have ventilated seats...
Usually those parts are port installed, but because they are external pieces that can be damaged in transit, it makes sense for the dealer to install them during pdi. As for asking them not to install it, i'm sure you can beg them but you will have to deal with the spoiler tab slots being exposed.
I had no idea the LS and LX had different cooled seats
