I currently have a 2024 GX 550 Overtrail plus. I absolutely love my car, but here in New Hampshire you have to have a valid inspection sticker to drive your car. Last October my windshield cracked and I placed an order for a new one. At the time, I was told there were 500 backordered and it would be a month or so. In January I was told there are 900 backordered and they have no idea. When I took my car in for its 5000 mile service in Feb, I also tried to get a vehicle inspection because mine expires in March. It, of course, didn’t pass inspection because of the windshield, so now I’m not allowed to drive my car. I have an almost 6 figure garage ornament. I reached out to my dealer to see if they would provide a loaner and they said they can’t do that. So who can I talk to? If my car is not street legal, they either need to fix it or provide me with something that I can drive.

 

Sorry about your situation. Aftermarket windshields are probably not available yet either. Do you have a friend or family member you can borrow a car from? Some kind of extended rental through your insurance?

I have thought about this situation with other parts as well.
