Yeah so the only applicable attachment is the hook and what are the odds of pulling this off in a limited size tube.
A picture of what was dropped in would be nice.
First off- I really appreciate all the help and the resources. I haven’t been able to take a break from reassembling the bottom of the AT and researching diagrams to properly respond. So thanks!
The picture is the length but the nipple fit inside this by stretching the tube. I believe the plastic nipple to be 0.55” and the fill port to be maybe a few 100’s more but was a pretty snug entry.
My plan is to find it with the Borescope (I should have one by tomorrow evening). Then I’ll attempt to attach my grabber to it. The space is so narrow and the entry angle is so limited, stuffing the grabber in there is a futile effort but if I can see what I’m doing- there is some hope. At least that’s my ONLY hope.
I’ll call around some transmission shops tomorrow. I figure even if it’s a $1k-$1.5K job, I’ll consider it “saving money” over a $5k new AT. That’s how I am coping with it mentally at least.
Might be just me, but I don't think there's any way in hell that the plastic is getting into the valving/etc without having to pass through the filter somehow.
At any rate, I'd just remove the filler tube and see if the plastic thingy is there / try to flush, push, whatever it out.
I'm not aware of any filler tubes that somehow let fluid bypass the filter/screen/etc and go straight to the internals, but it doesn't hurt to check, I guess

That's a GX470 transmission. The GX460 has no fill tube, rather it has a port on the side where the fluid goes in.
Based on the size of the piece that was posted, I'm not sure it's going to make it to the pan. It could just end up being stuck where it is now...
That being said, if the piece is big enough where it is stuck in limbo so to speak, you might be fine with it. Not sure what the vibrations are like inside of the transmission, but if it can't go anywhere and it if doesn't obstruct any fluid passageways, you might be ok in leaving it.
This is just speculation that an automatic transmission expert would have to verify.
The Plastic is in the Channel on Suction Side of Pump, so it will eventually end up in the Filter, meaning, it will NOT get into Gear internals because they are in the Discharge, some times call Oil Supply Side. Basic AT Engineering, the "Worked/Used" Fluid is always returned to Sumps Trash Screen, to be Pumped to Worked thru system again with, of course, Filtered Fluid..

the stupid WiFi camera died soon after getting the pictures but I got some good ones. It’s incredibly difficult to maneuver even to get the plastic in the camera. But I’m going to get this darn thing out so help me God.

Looks like progress, I know they make some borescopes with grabber attachments where you can actually go in with the grabber and borescope at the same time, so you can see what your grabbing while you do it. Retrieval looks like the best option.
Grabber or something with some duct tape wrapped inside out to be extra sticky and maybe you can work it up a bit where it can be grabbed. I know the hole is small but you can do this, might have to rig something up but you can do it.
We are all going to be cheering when you get it extracted!
Great job getting visual confirmation! I agree, spending some money on a specialty boroscope with some sort of claw tool is the way to go here. You are now as much of an expert in this as anyone you could take it to, lol!
Given that it was so tight going in, you probably want a tool that goes in the center and hooks the far edge from behind, to avoid adding width to what has to come back through that hole.
