Anyone pulling transmission temps via OBD?
OBD Fusion/Link - monitor AT temps
Monitor status of torque converter lockup
I was looking into options on Android and IOS. I know what can be done with TS but this is for everyday and towing.
As mentioned before looking at OBD Fusion on IOS and Torque Pro on Android. I purchased the Toyota model year specific enhancement pack on Fusion but neither are showing any out of the box transmission gauges that actually read for me anyway.
I'm seeing some discussion about custom PIDs.

I tried the first formula out but didn't seem to pull anything for me.
If anyone has luck with these let me know. I'll probably play around with it more later this weekend.
For sensor 1 (Pan Temp):
OBD2 Mode and PID: 2182
Long Name: Transmission Fluid Temperature 1
Short Name: Trans 1
Minimum Value: 0.0
Maximum value: 300.0
Scale factor: x1
Unit Type: °F
Equation: ((((A*256)+B) * (7/100) – 400)/10)
OBD Header to use: left blank
For sensor 2 (Converter outlet temp):
OBD2 Mode and PID: 2182
Long Name: Transmission Fluid Temperature 2
Short Name: Trans 2

I don't currently have one but have thought about it. There is an OEM PN I came across at some point since it is an option on the Canadian Executive model.

I notice Koan has a bracket that uses existing holes to mount the cooler. The two existing for the horns.

That first code does work in original post. Will test out TC one.

Using ODB Fusion and the Extra Package for Toyota, I was able to read via the Wifi OBD. There are actually A/T oil temp 1 and A/T oil temp 2 and they are a few degree different from each other.

I tried this in ODB Fusion and it said No Data was received. Looking through the Toyota Extras, I don't see one for TC either. The Extras looks like what showed in Techstream so if Techstream has temp sensor value for TC, then it should have it too. However I don't recall I see TC in Techstream. Can you confirm?

I'll play around with it this weekend with Fusion. It was nice... I just got done pulling a small trailer with cargo that weighed around 2800lbs.
Transmission temps stayed with 10-15 degrees of coolant.
Hottest I saw was around 228 degrees. Normal running temps are usually within 5 degrees of coolant which is usually 205-210 degrees.

I will say this.. if pulling a trailer on a grade put it in 4th gear. You can watch it drop down in temp.

If we reach a dead end on Fusion I'll open a support ticket to see if they can implement something based on what Torque can do.
I tried this in ODB Fusion and it said No Data was received. Looking through the Toyota Extras, I don't see one for TC either. Looks like the Toyota AT temp 1 is for the transmission temp at the pan and AT Temp 2 is for the torque converter. I added both and the oil temp
too. They are very closely match at cruising speed.

Seeing you have it working on Fusion.
I need to compare my coolant temps between the two apps. Mine are running about 10 degrees higher at cruising on Torque compared to yours. It could be related to towing a trailer though. I noticed a few degrees difference at almost all times between my AT Temp 1 & 2 with Torque.
