Rear gate/door handle stuck can't open swing door
Ok...we have not had our GX 24 hours and.... the power lock mechanism works. Window is able to open, but the "handle" feels and appears to be stuck...kind of like the spring that should push handle back to give you something to squeeze is broke. However, can't get it to budge, don't want to pry it open and damage something. I have tried locking and unlocking many times.
Any ideas? I tried searching and found nothing on second Gen issues and only power lock issues on Gen 1.
Thanks in advance,
BT

If the drivers side door lock is pressed twice I get similar results minus the rear window opening. The remote does not override it, try playing with the drivers side door lock.

Got it open... locks work fine. I stuck my hand in opposite with my Palm facing the car and was able to push the handle release "open". I will have to pull parts diagram up, but it does seem that a return spring is broken or there is grime in it to prevent it from working properly.

Rear hatch lock malfunction.
I have a 2010 Gx460 that I love. The rear door has now become locked shut and will not unlock. When I hit the unlock button on the door all I get is flashers with a few beeps. What can I do??

Good luck.

Trunk hatch won't unlock
Hey guys, looking for some help!
2010 gx460
Truck is locked and I can't get it to open.
I took the back panel looking for an manual release but can't find anything.
The handle, spring, coil are all working. The actuator clicks but it doesn't release the lock.
Tried disconnecting the power source and the battery. Tried all unlock buttons.
Like the truck I'm stuck!
Any help appreciated!

Maybe the actuator is getting the electrical signal (hence the click), but it's not actually working properly to release the locking mechanism? I've typically seen this type of problem be rooted in the actuator, but not specifically in my GX.

Thanks for the quick response. I should elaborate a little, and mention that I can hear the power lock inside the door clunking when the rest of the vehicle unlocks, but the handle will still not open the door.

Solved my own problem, and I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else encounters this. It was simply a case of the door handle not retracting all the way when the door was latched. So if I pushed it in a little bit so that it seemed fully latched, then it would open the door. I'll put some silicone on it so it doesn't happen again anytime soon, but maybe as these vehicles get older someone else will have the same problem.

Thanks for the update on this. I open my door a lot with work and have had no problems.

GX460 rear door won't latch.
So happy the door opened, but the latch won't catch. I can use a screwdriver as a pseudo post and it has full and free range of action, but it won't stay closed. It is as iff the door handle is being held open- which is is not as I can operate its action and it goes back
