Default About those Prado Taillights

I bought a set of Aftermarket Prado taillights off of ebay. I like the look of them better than the factory '14+ Clear lights and it makes things look a little different so I took a risk, didn't know if the wiring would be the same but the shape looked the same so it was worth the risk.

I put them on and they fit kinda.

The brake and turn signal lights part of the harness fit. The marker light you had to trim a small bit to get it in but I left it out for now because I already had marker bulbs in the lower portion of the bumper and the upper portion of the tail lights up at night anyways.

What became the bigger issue and which will sway most people from getting them is the large gap at the bottom where it meets the bumper. Haven't thought about how I am going to address that, I will probably just make a filler panel to bridge that gap

Just sharing this for now for those who were wondering about them. Stay tuned.

Nice gamble on the fit. I wonder if my Carid bezels would help with the gap or hurt with the Prado bezel? Kinda hard to tell with the angle but it looks like the bumper sticks out past the light?

there is a 1/2" gap at the bottom. On the sides its flush with the bumper but when you move towards the rear, the bumper starts to stick out.

Black out the chrome and add rubber door trim to the gap?
Just a thought... Granted, it IS a lot of gap.

Was worth a shot!

I don't mind the clear 2014 lights myself. Would the 2010-2013 fit, or perhaps the new sport design lights? Probably pretty pricey though.

I don't mind the 'newer' version either. The rear quarter didn't change. I parked next to one at the grocery store today. They should fit. Ebay would be the best bet at finding ones.
