2016 GX460 Wheel Options Help!
Hey All,
I am new to this forum and just purchased my first Lexus. I purchased a new 2016 GX460 this past December, and am looking for new wheel options.
I looked at getting the F-Sport wheels but they're only 18" wheels. (I came from a 2013 Range Rover with 22" wheels, so i am kind of used to those to be honest)... However! I really don't want to put 22" wheels on the Lexus...
Can you guys share some pictures of wheels you have put on your GX460's and kind of let me know what's out there? I have no idea where to even begin looking...
I simply do not feel like the F-Sport wheels would look that good on my vehicle. They're nice wheels, but i have never seen them on a GX.
Thanks again for everyone's help!
-Jake

Welcome and congrats!
There are quite a few threads out there for wheels. Here are a few you can reference. Personally, I'm a fan of Evoking's setup in the 18's or 20's thread:

I just picked up a 2016 yesterday. I would have liked something different too. My problem with the F wheels is that they are still only 7.5" wide.
To me the best package would be a 8.5x19 wheel with a 275/55 tire. That would spread it out a bit, move it out close to the edge of the wheel well and still have enough sidewall for a decent ride and rim protection. And I'm sure the steering would be much more responsive. My second choice would be a 8.5x20 with a 275/50.

Hey jjscsix,
I often debate if I could get away with the F Style Wheels or even my stock wheels, and just put on some new BFG All Terrains that are larger to fill up more of the wheel wells. Just from an appearance stand point it seems like the tires are very under sized for the vehicle as it.
I would be okay with the stock premium wheels that I have if the tires were actually just larger. It really seems that those are under-sized.
Thoughts?
