I am looking for a drive side sun visor replacement as the current one will not stay up. Does anyone know if there is a cross reference for a Toyota sun visor that will looks and will fit the GX? The replacement from Lexus and Ebay etx. are $105.00 - $180.00 dollars.

I recently replaced the drivers side in my 5th gen 4runner and it was over 100$. I was also looking for an alternative but finally bit the bullet. It was worth the money to get rid of the annoyance.

 

Been searching forums without luck for anyone who had successfully installed 4runner sun visors on the GX. So thought I’d post to help out the next guy in my situation.
Both the sun visors on my 2014 GX had begun sagging. The mechanisms in these sun visors had failed and sun visors would sag. I took off the sun visors off my 5th Gen (2012)4Runner and tried them on the GX. They fit perfectly.
i ordered some aftermarket ones off Amazon for less than $50 a pair and they fit perfectly.
Material is different but beige color is similar to ecru. I’m happy with the results especially since I didn’t need to pay hundreds of dollars for the pair.

Nice - I had mine changed under the CPO warranty - cost would have been over $500 to have dealer do it - crazy $$$.

 

Great job on the replacement! I would LOVE to find a replacement sun visor that is telescoping like the RX has. Unfortunately the RX visors won't fit the GX. IMHO the GX visors are so cheap--not what you would expect on a Lexus. I thought about the new 2024 visors--do they telescope?? But, they also don't have a white interior anymore. Also, do LX visors telescope? I wonder if they would fit a GX - probably too wide. Does anyone know if other models with telescoping visors might be compatible with the 2023 GX?

Which ES model year visor did you purchase? I see they changed between 2018 to 2019. I'm assuming I would want the 7th gen 2019-present visor. Also, I would want the "without panorama sun roof" wouldn't I?

 

For me I want to find a way to rebuild my originals or redneck science a solution (lol).

But good to know the ES is compatible. Thats way more available second hand for future replacements.

 

Bump for clarification on which ES generation visors were referenced. I loved the telescoping visor in my loaner RX350, and I'm fighting dusk on my way in and dawn on my way home EVERY DAY - so this would help greatly in my GX. Grazie

 

Would you mind posting a picture of your ES visor? Or do you have the part # of you replacement? I could compare to the replacements I am looking at. The mirror placement is different from 6th gen to 7th gen. I would greatly appreciate it!
