No, I am able to go into my garage at a 90 degree angle to the driveway, with the ES350 and Q5 with mirrors in normal extended position. What is the width of the GX460 with the mirrors extended?
The wife and I just checked our new Luxury. It’s hard because the turn signal indicators jut out a bit further than where you can hold a tape measure. That said we came up with approximately 85 3/4” accounting for the turn signal bump.

thank you so much!!! So only about 1.5 days inches wider than the Q5. Should be able to probably get in the single garage. Good turn radius is a bonus
Have been reading on Reddit GX460 groups that people in CA are regularly getting $5000 off MSRP on 2023 GX460's on the lot. You might be able to get even more if you have energy to bargain. Anyone seeing $5k discounts in other states also?

We got a “whopping” $1500 off our new Luxury here in the Pittsburgh, PA area. But with just 2 dealerships owned by the same company, we’re a captive audience.
They did have some of the Premiums listed at $2350 off but not the Luxury trim.
I believe it. I got $4,300 off msrp on a luxury w/off-road package in early July with my first choice int/ext colors, I'm sure deals are better now but I'm glad I didn't wait. A Lexus dealer search shows 0 Luxury w/off road package in my desired colors (Atomic then Nebula; Rioja then Black) within 100 miles, and only one in any color w/off-road (Nightfall). I wanted ML, the better cameras in the off-road plus the factory trans cooler & MTS etc.
Premium Plus is a great option package, it's only missing off-road, but today, in the exterior and interior colors I would want there are only 9 in stock.
Wait and take what's left at a larger discount, or strike now and hopefully get exactly what you want?

Yeah, if flex with color and don't NEED it soon, maybe wait until last week of December to negotiate/buy. Both for CPO and New since they have both end of year numbers they are trying to hit (so even a loss on a unit or two could mean a gain wrt to corp incentives) and new Gen coming they will likely want to clear the decks for. Think what you like about the GX550, initial demand for it will likely be very strong.
What kind of deals does Lexus have in its December to Remember sales? I've never bought a vehicle in Dec before (way too many other things going on to worry about buying a car!)
Just remember that the Tahara plant will be retooling for the GX550 production, not sure when production of the GX 460 will stop but once production switches, yes there is a chance prices will drop, but so will availability and selection.
demand might be up, some are wanting the last of the v8
As someone who bought a '23 in March I would like this to be true, but historically I don't think this has played out.
The newer more fuel efficient models are always demanded more and the resale value of the previous generation vehicle of the same line drop off much more after the new model is released to the market. I think the same thing is likely to happen here.
Also, for those shopping now, just buy the one you want. If you keep this thing a long time I would not get a color you hate to see everyday or missing the key feature you want. You wont care that the other one you didn't like cost a couple of grand less. I bought the exact one I wanted when I could get my hands on it. And we were certainly weren't getting $5K off these a few months ago here in CA--it was MSRP all day long. And if you waited to **** around the car was sold to someone else. Not sure about now, buy also not sure any White Black Lines are available...
If you go to the LexusGX Reddit group, someone posted about a dealership accidently emailing about the December to Remember incentive. It's 0% interest for 48 months! Although this might make it harder to negotiate from MSRP? Probably not for the GX460, they have to make room.
Got another 2023 loaner, this time with 6 miles on it. 1) It seems noticeably quieter than my '13; 2) Steering seems tighter, could in part be due to smaller wheel radius, but I doubt it is just that (or really that at all); 3) Very low rev at idle - like 4k. Not sure if that is a break in thing, or a new tuning thing, but my '13 is like 6 or 7k at idle (maybe something wrong with mine?); 4) Just like the other '23 loaner, the driver's door won't properly closes unless you put much more energy in closing it than in the other doors, or in the '13; 5) Seats feel much snugger, I am guessing it is bc my seats are over 10 years old and have given up some of their rigidity around the bolsters - the lumbar in '23 seems more extreme at the limit as well; 6) Radio controls that are below and under and mirror the shape of the off road controls is idiotic. Even if you are an off road enthusiast you would still touch the radio controls more often, let alone for daily drivers that almost never require the need for the off road control (4L and DAC); 7) ML radio is better BUT not sure how much of that is due to quieter cabin (either due to age of my '13 or due to acoustic glass in the '23 or both) or due to the stereo/speaker quality - prob a bit of both; 8) Def feels more responsive - maybe I will look into a pedal commander or something bc I preferred the seemingly more linear feeling response (seemingly bc I have no idea if it is really linear or if maybe something that we perceive as linear response is really logarithmic or something).
There are (26) new GX640's sitting at my local shop here in NJ. If I was in the market for one, I would offer them $8k off MSRP and I bet they will take it.

Agreed. I got $7K off MSRP in SoCal two months ago. I think the dealer was spooked by the spec (even though they're ones who ordered it), white/black/black wheels with Premium Package. That was the exact spec. I wanted, but not many folks like white ext./black int. I love the GX with its super-high build and design quality, and that butter-smooth V8. I'm getting 20 mpg on the highway, which is fine. Most important for me was that the 2023 GX is the last of the Japanese-style GXs; the 2024 GX is just a complete departure from that, and I personally don't like the looks of the 2024. Also, the more compact size of the 2023 is better for off-roading, and it fits easily inside my garage. The 2024 would be a tight fit in my garage. So if you're thinking of getting a GX, I wouldn't wait. Get the exact one you want, get a great deal, and keep it 20 years!
