I've ordered the Alpharex Nova headlights in black, pretty excited about that! Big thanks to Nelson Man @ Alpharex US (via GXOR FB group) for his assistance!
I've also decided against a grille upgrade...while I like the 2020 look, it makes it look more like a car vs. a 4x4 SUV, so I'm going to stick with new OEM 2015 spec besides the headlights. Grille was also 2.5 months to arrive, and I don't want to risk delaying repairs.

Or go with a '13 grill and increase your approach angles

You know, backdating the front end never even crossed my mind! I always hated how the facelift GX460 went to smaller foglights, so I wasn't able to use the DD SS3's I had on her old 4Runner Limited, while the '10-13 front end would fit them.
Sadly, I sold the foglights, so hopefully the Alpharex Nova's have as much lower fill lighting as the pics suggest, and the need for strong foglights isn't as great. My course is charted now...
I have an 80 series and my old GX that would be seeing offroad use before this truck would, so approach angle isn't really on my radar.
I did also consider a Prado front end swap for a minute...with all the damaged components now would be the time to do it, but this is my wife's truck and that would just make everything going forward harder than it needs to be, so opted to keep it stockish. I contacted the sellers, it's all made up of aftermarket parts, not interested in dealing with stuff that needs additional work to fit, or any other unexpected snafu's. I do like the look though.
Well, the process is underway! Insurer emailed this morning that based on the pics we submitted, they estimate damages at $6900CAN. I'm scheduled to bring it by the bodyshop in the morning so they can have a look, do a light teardown and supplement the repair estimate if needed...I anticipate that estimate doubling at least!
Body shop spent about 4.5 hours with the truck today, pulled the front end apart to see what they would all need to order, confirmed no damage to metal that can't be replaced, so that was good news! The hood was not damaged, but both fenders are. Lots of brackets behind the bumper that were damaged as well.
They also got it up on the alignment rack and got it driving straight again. Said that both front tires were pointed to the one side...but couldn't point to anything being bent or damaged. What can happen to a front end that would cause the steering wheel to no longer be centered, and the truck pulling to one side, that wouldn't indicate something being bent/damaged? Alignment cam bolts slipping?
Anyways, the new draft appraisal is at $17,664, and doesn't include the clear bra treatment yet! Nearly triple the original assessment from pics alone!

Wow - just a tad off the original!! Hope the repair goes well.
Figured I'd update this, FINALLY have a date to drop the truck off at the body shop of Sept. 20 as all parts are now in, accident was end of March, so by the time I get it back repaired it will have been over 6 months with a broken truck! Unreal!
Good thing it's been drivable this whole time, a testament to Lexus/Toyota toughness for sure. The bodyshop brought it in a few months ago and "stitched" it together for the time being with drilled holes and zipties as it was tearing itself apart on the highway commute!
Here we go again...a big deer ran into the side of the wife's GX the other night, hit the driver's side fender HARD, then tumbled down the side taking out the mirror, both door skins, side step, rear fender, and back bumper on it's way! Initial estimate is $22K...I'm concerned they might total loss it this time around. Keep Big Bertha in your thoughts.
Wife is dealing with some whiplash, but it kept her and kiddo safe once again.
Wow, that sucks. Deer are a mess. 22k seems like a lot but my wife got sideswiped a year or so ago, very minor but down the whole side of her silver one. Took 4 months to get it in the shop but I’m very finicky with body shops. It came out perfect. That was $8,900.
