I took my mom to the other Lexus dealership in my state to get a GX460. After years of trying to sell her a Lexus, and almost selling her an RC-F once when she came to my dealership, she finally got one. We got it for $48k with 52k miles on it.
We rented a crappy Nissan Sentra from Avis for a one-way trip 90 minutes away to pick up an L-Certified caviar on black 2022 GX460 Premium from our state’s only other Lexus dealer. It was a wonderful experience. The dealership was extremely nice, our salesman was great, and finance was great. Despite the car technically being my mom’s, she’s had me drive her everywhere in it and loves being the passenger.
This has been my first time in a later 2022-2023 GX460. I used to be a Lexus Delivery Specialist until the end of 2019 and knew the GX460 like the back of my hand. While I loved how easy the infotainment system is in the 2014-2021 GX, the 2022 feels like a different car on the inside. It’s been fun driving it around. The ride feels much smoother than I remember the 2014-2020’s I drove or our old GX470.
